The Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) is a mid to longterm ODA support strategy that includes
support goals, focus areas, and support plans for individual partner countries. By establishing the
Country Partnership Strategy in close communication with the partner country, the Korean government
seeks to guide bilateral development cooperation and improve the effectiveness of ODA.
The Korean
government is improving the consistency and effectiveness of assistance by aligning the cycle of
application of the national development strategies of partner countries with our CPS. Currently, Korea's
ODA core partner countries are 27, comprising 12 countries in Asia, 7 countries in Africa, 4 countries
in Latin America, and 4 countries in Central Asia, all of which have CPSs.
